Spring is Here!

Spring comes and with it the usual flurry of activities including the annual trip to the city office to file taxes. David, Chloe Derick and I all went for the pilgrimage. The staff are VERY helpful and we are out of there before lunch. We even took Hege along and registered her too as she also lives in Shinagawa City while the boys all live in Meguro City.
This was my first time to file taxes at the city office as I usually had to visit the Government Tax office because I was earning money by doing weddings. Since quitting the wedding ministry I now no longer have any earned income here in Japan.Another sign of spring is the delightful cherry blossoms. They are already beginning to show.
We usually plan to have our new DTS students experience the beauty of the cherry blossoms the week they arrive. However it is beginning to look like they may be early this year and be almost finished by the time the students arrive on April 4th. This tree is an early cherry and is only just beginning to bloom the majority of the trees will start a little later.
